North Obhor

SAWACO is a sea water desalination plant located in North Obhor in Jeddah approximately 45 km away from the city center. The size of the plant area is 14,400 m2 and  it is composed of Water Desalination Plant production hall including offices, laboratory ,  control room, chemicals room, workshop  and MCC& Electrical room. Adjacent to the production hall, lies the Power Generation House, Reject and Raw Water Tanks, 10,000 m3 Post Tensioned Reinforced Concrete Product Water Tanks, Water Filling Stations, Dispatch Office and the Guard House. The SAWACO Water Desalination Plant in North Obhor is in operation since December 2001, serving over 6,000  customers 24hr  a day.

R.O system configuration:

Desalination system consists of raw seawater intake taken from 13 beach wells, Micro filtration (MF) system adopted for RO pretreatment, SWRO system composed of 6 operating units that contains different number of pressure vessels depends upon the capacity per trains. All pressure vessels contain 6 elements per vessels.

Phase-I: Skid A & B (each trains consist of 42 pressure vessels)

Phase-2: Skid C & D (each trains consist of25 pressure vessels)

Phase-3: Skid E (consist of25 pressure vessels)

Phase-4: Skid F (consist of36 pressure vessels)
