Research and Development
SAWACO dedicates part of its earnings for R&D activities.
The first aim and purpose of R&D is directed towards ;
- Water Recovery From Brine
- Introducing renewable energy to SAWACO plants
- Reducing the power consumption per m3
- producing ultra pure water as per customers need.
To this end, SAWACO invested in new technologies with companies like Gradiant from the US, Current Water Technologies Inc. from Canada, and conducted research with KAUST students and leading membrane manufacturers.
SAWACO aims at producing water with minimum impact on the environment while satisfying a wide spectrum of water qualities to suit the needs of people and businesses alike.
